The 19 year-old, who has scored 14 straight wins since turning pro last year, was due to fight on cousin Tyson’s undercard for his rematch with Dereck Chisora, but Peter said that any boxing is off the table until Fury is back to complete health.
“Hughie has been fighting since he was 15 with this illness and it’s always been a struggle to get him ready for fights,” Fury informed World Boxing News on Wednesday.
“The doctors are now giving Hughie orders not to box until this issue is properly diagnosed and dealt with. We have been told that heavy training will dilute any proposed treatments the doctor will advise so for now Hughie won’t be fighting until further notice.
“He is undergoing tests as we speak and we will know more on the situation soon,” he added.
Fury was once targeting Mike Tyson’s youngest ever heavyweight champion record in the infancy of his career, although the 6ft 6ins bruiser has not been able to compete to his full capacity and action has now been taken.
