Derek Chisora accused of headbutting punch-swinging food driver

Former heavyweight contender Derek Chisora stands accused of headbutting a delivery driver who threw a punch in his direction on Euro 2024 Final day.

According to a video claiming to be Chisora in his customary red ‘WAR’ hat, the former world title challenger laid a nut on the irate courier.

The incident happened outside a restaurant in London, with many eyewitnesses to the argument. The driver crouches over after suffering the blow, which came from a man weighing over 250 pounds.

Chisora is due back in the ring on July 27 against Joe Joyce, aiming to score a second successive win for the first time since 2019. The last time Chisora, 40, managed to put together a run like that, his two opponents were Artur Szpilka [now a cruiserweight] and British rival David Price.

Joyce will be a far sterner test for the man formerly known as ‘Del Boy,’ who is facing the end of his long career with defeat.

With four losses in the six bouts since then, Chisora is staring at the end game if Joyce can take him out before the end of the contest. The fight occurs at the O2 Arena in London, with Dennis McCann and Moses Itauma to appear on the undercard.

In the meantime, whether anything further will come from the weekend’s pre-fight clash remains to be seen.
