Having founded World Boxing News in 2010, I have extensive knowledge of boxing and the inner workings of the sport. Accepted as members of the Boxing Writers Association of America and the Sports Journalists Association, my previous experience includes writing for local newspapers, collaborating with Boxing Scene, and being cited by the BBC, Sky Sports, Forbes, DAZN, The Daily Mail, Daily Telegraph and many others.
I have years of breaking boxing news behind me and remain a trusted source for a sizeable audience. Holding many contacts, both on the professional and amateur side, enables me to gather up-to-date information, conduct interviews with the biggest names, and bring exclusive news to boxing fans.
Furthermore, I have extensive knowledge of the rules and regulations of all four major boxing organizations: the IBF, WBA, WBC, and WBO. This kind of experience enables me to explain and reply to any questions boxing fans may have.

Alan Dawson Bio:
I joined World Boxing News as lead writer after 15+ years in sports media where I worked as a correspondent for Business Insider, digital editor at BT Sport, and soccer reporter at GOAL. My byline has also featured at The Mirror, The Sporting Tribune, and GIVE ME SPORT.
I am a two-time Sports Journalist of the Year finalist, and have been honored five times by the Boxing Writers Association of America for news writing, event reporting, and investigative journalism.
I have reported ringside for some of the biggest fights in the modern era of combat sports including the Fury vs Wilder trilogy, Khabib Nurmagomedov’s retirement on Fight Island, and Spence vs Crawford. I have lived and worked in Las Vegas — the fight capital of the world — since late 2021.
