BIOGRAPHY

Anthony Joshua is a British two-time heavyweight champion and 2012 Olympic gold medalist.

Having turned professional in 2013, AJ rose through the ranks quickly, capturing the IBF title from Charles Martin.

The WBA title followed after a career-defining win over Wladimir Klitschko in 2017 before Joshua took Joseph Parker’s WBO version.

In 2019, Joshua lost all three belts to Andy Ruiz Jr. in a shock defeat at Madison Square Garden. He won them back six months later in Saudi Arabia.

In 2021, Oleksandr Usyk inflicted back-to-back losses on the Londoner before a winning streak led Joshua to defeat Francis Ngannou in 2024.

AJ lost out on becoming a three-time heavyweight champion on September 21, 2024, when knocked out badly against Daniel Dubois in five rounds.
