Anthony Joshua roasted for Raygun moves during humiliating KO

  • by

Anthony Joshua is now compared to Olympic breakdancing failure Raygun after being knocked out by Daniel Dubois and replicating infamous moves.

The former heavyweight champion made breakdancing during a knockout an art as he fell to the canvas following a Dubois super-shot. Joshua was ridiculed online after his compatriot, who retained the IBF heavyweight title, battered him substantially.

Raygun, who also took heavy fire after a shocking 2024 Olympic showing, is now synonymous with Joshua.

Fans took to social media to give Joshua both barrels, with one even alluding to the Briton’s debated 2012 Olympic gold medal victory. Many saw the award as a gift because London hosted the event. Those who witnessed the final saw Joshua lose to Roberto Cammarelle.

Comments included, “AJ channeling his inner Raygun was not something I ever expected to see. He’d have won a medal in the Olympic breaking with this crazy move.”

“Dubois caught Joshua so hard he thought he was Raygun.”

“Anthony Joshua doing his best Raygun impression there as he tried to get up from the KO punch.”

“Fair play to Joshua. Not everyone could pull off a Raygun impression as he tried to get up off the canvas.

“Anthony Joshua could always make a bit of money as a Raygun tribute act when he’s retired.”

The final comment on his Olympic win stated, “Joshua is better at breakdancing than Australia’s Olympic entry Raygun. Is that what his Olympic gold medal was for?”

Joshua’s defeat is a realization for some that the Briton was never as good as people thought despite promoter Eddie Hearn’s insistence. It’s a sorry fact that Joshua will now be remembered more for his knockout than as an undeserved three-time heavyweight champion.
