Mike Tyson losing to Jake Paul ‘will be like somebody died’

According to a man who once called out the former heavyweight champion, Mike Tyson, losing to Jake Paul on November 15 will be like a death in the boxing family.

Ken Shamrock, an ex-UFC and WWE star, says Paul will be disliked by pugilism fans even more than he is now if he takes Tyson out. Shamrock praised Paul for making the money he does when fighting non-boxers. However, many are taking his targeting of a 58-year-old legend personally.

Paul won’t be able to leave the event with any kudos. The consensus is that it will merely be a money-making exercise.

“Here’s what I say because, as I said, I think what Jake Paul and the guys are doing is brilliant, I really do,” said Shamrock, according to The Mirror. “I think them never fighting a contender but making more money than any world championship fight is brilliant. It’s brilliant, but this one’s not good because Jake Paul can’t win.

“[If Paul] wins, there’s a huge bad taste in the world of boxing. It’s a disappointment to an organization that has loved Mike Tyson. It is like the death of somebody. It should be victorious for Jake Paul.

“I think on that small group of people that are following, yes. But in that whole atmosphere of boxing, it will feel like somebody died.”

Mike Tyson is the outsider to win on the pre-fight fractions. You can count on both hands how many times that’s happened during his illustrious career. However, Tyson’s last two fights twenty years ago were considerable proof that he was over the hill at 38. At 58, it’s unfathomable how shot Tyson might be by fight night.

Paul, just 27 years old, will have the mobility and power to trouble Mike from the off. It’s expected to be a short night unless there’s a pre-fight conversation in play on the night.

Netflix has agreed to broadcast the event live from the AT&T Stadium in front of 80,000 fans, with the indoor record set by Canelo vs Saunders in 2021 in danger of being toppled.
